Buster (1).jpg

Buster! What a dog! He is loving, affectionate, anxious to please and good looking to boot! He absolutely adores swimming!  He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and on a heartworm preventative.  He is part of a litter of 4 that was accepted by ARF before they were euthanized in the local pound.

Sissy 2.jpg

Sissy loves to get and give hugs and smooches.  Best of all she is human bed and couch trained - so no begging to have her climb up next to you!  Sissy was rescued by ARF when her foster found her just too cute to be in the pound any longer.  This 54 pound furbaby, with her shoulders about chair high, loves everybody.  Mostly German Shepherd features but with some Corgi mix (her bob tail that "wags" constantly) makes her irresistible. Crate trained, leash trained, house trained, knows basic commands and totally not shy around new people who need doggy kisses.  She even enjoys car rides! She is currently in an active household and is thoroughly enjoying being spoiled. Perfect for a family with kids and another dog to play tug-a-war with. She would even be a pawfit fit with kids needing a playmate. She adores her foster family, even cats if they ignore her.  Sissy is spayed, heartworm negative and on a preventative, vaccinated,  and microchipped.  Sissy is waiting for her furever family!

Doris

It was a cold, rainy July day in Jesup, GA when we first saw Doris. She and her younger companion Josie were found together in the McDonald’s parking lot, digging through the trash just to survive. Soaked to the bone and clearly exhausted, they were trying to find shelter and scraps in the middle of a downpour. It was clear they had been out in the elements for quite some time, but what struck us most wasn’t just their condition—it was how gentle they were despite their situation.

Doris seems to be a little older than Josie, who is around 7 years old. She does not have a microchip, and judging by her condition, it is clear she has not known kindness in a long time. It took a few days of patience to earn her trust, but once that door opened, Doris completely blossomed. Today, she is one of the most affectionate, loving dogs we have ever had the joy of caring for.

Doris is a low-energy, easygoing girl who just wants to be near people. She adores pets and any kind of attention. She’s happiest curled up nearby or following you from room to room. She’s the kind of dog who doesn't demand much—just a soft bed, a little love, and the safety of a forever home.

She’s also getting along well with one of our small dogs Randy (a Chihuahua-Beagle mix), so we think she’d do well in a home with other friendly dogs, especially calmer ones like herself.

Doris came to us in rough shape—she had a severe flea allergy, a fungal skin infection, and multiple internal parasites (including hookworms and coccidia). Her skin was red and raw, and she had lost quite a bit of fur. But with proper treatment and lots of TLC, her coat is filling in beautifully, and she’s starting to look—and feel—so much healthier. She’s been treated for all of her ailments and is up to date on her rabies vaccine. She is heartworm positive, but the vet informed us that we caught it early and she is being treated accordingly. It is clear she has had several litters and she does not appear to have been spayed. Doris is currently working on her basic commands, leash walking, and socialization. She is making great progress and continues to gain confidence each day.

We believe Doris would thrive in a variety of home settings—she doesn’t need tons of exercise and prefers a slower-paced lifestyle. Whether you're retired, work from home, or have a quieter family environment, Doris will fit right in. She just needs someone to love her the way she’s always deserved.

Doris has known abandonment and hardship. Now, she’s ready to know love, stability, and the joy of belonging. If you are looking for a calm, sweet, loyal companion who will melt into your heart and stay there, Doris may be your perfect match.

If you are interested in meeting this beautiful girl and giving her the forever home she has waited so patiently for, please reach out. Doris is ready to come home.

Jazzy, about 1 1/2 years old, is a 72 pound lady who is looking for her forever home! She is very bonded with her brother Buster and would love to be adopted with him. They have been together their entire life, and together, would complete an active household. They play with each other, tolerate each other, play fetch together, and walk well on leashes together! Please consider making them an addition to your home!

Josie

It was a cold, rainy July day in Jesup, GA when we first saw Josie. She and her companion Doris were found together in the McDonald’s parking lot, digging through the trash just to survive. Soaked to the bone and clearly exhausted, they were trying to find shelter and scraps in the middle of a downpour. It was clear they had been out in the elements for quite some time, but what struck us most wasn’t just their condition—it was how gentle they were despite their situation.

Josie is microchipped, and despite her previous owners being notified, sadly, they never reached out. Given the distance between her registered address and where she was found, we believe Josie may have been deliberately dropped off and left behind. Still, she hasn’t lost her spark.

She’s 7 years old, born on February 4, 2018, and has been treated for fleas, ticks, hookworms, and coccidia. She’s also up to date on her rabies shot and she is heartworm negative. It is obvious that Josie has had liters of puppies previously and she has no evidence of being spayed. We are continuing to support her recovery and training while she awaits a forever home.

Josie is a bundle of energy and love. She adores playtime—especially a good game of tug-of-war—and is slowly learning how to walk on a leash and follow basic commands. She’s making strides every day with socialization, and her sweet, eager-to-please personality makes her a joy to be around.

Josie would thrive in a home with space to run and explore—ideally with a big yard or land. She’d do best as the only dog or with other larger dogs who can match her energy and playfulness.

Josie’s been through a lot, but she hasn’t given up—and neither have we. Now all she needs is someone willing to give her the love and stability she deserves. Could that be you?

If you're interested in meeting Josie or learning more, please reach out. Let’s help her start the next, happiest chapter of her life.
